Annascaul Lake is an Irish lake on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry. Located north of the village of Annascaul, it boasts an exceptional natural setting, with impressive mountains and wide-open spaces!
Annascaul Lake is located in a secluded spot close to the village of Annascaul, which has a population of less than 300.
Situated in the very heart of the Dingle Peninsula, the lake stretches for several kilometers, and is ideal for a walk along the water’s edge (provided you’ve got the right shoes!).
We especially love the tranquility of Annascaul Lake, with its magnificent shores and fishing spots, where you can bring in trout, gudgeon and spectacular pike, all in an extraordinary setting!
There’s very little traffic here, just hikers on the Dingle Way and locals enjoying the area. We can only understand them! It’s sure to give you some ideas for a picnic or a walk! An unforgettable place, among the most remote in south-west Ireland!
