Ardgillan Castle is a superb Irish castle located between Balbriggan and Skerries in County Dublin. From its 194 hectares, it offers breathtaking views of pastures, forests and Drogheda Bay. A must-see!
Château d’Ardgillan was built in 1738. With 2 floors and a basement, it was built in pure Victorian style.
You can visit the main rooms inside, and admire the period furniture, Georgian furnishings, decorations and paintings.
You can also visit the château’s living room, dining room and library.
It’s all very chic and elegant, and a small art exhibition is held every year on the building’s ground floor. A permanent gallery is also dedicated to old maps dating back to the 17th century.
