Visit Dublin Zoo

A zoo committed to preserving endangered species

The zoo was founded in 1831 by the Royal Zoological Society of Dublin. Since then, it has continued to attract thousands of visitors every year, who come to admire and discover the world’s most beautiful animal species! Dublin Zoo is divided into several zones:

  • the World of Cats
  • World of Primates
  • the Arctic
  • Africa Plains
  • Forest Trail Kaziranga
  • as well as a more diversified zone, including birds, reptiles…etc.

Although not all the animals living here are recognized as protected species, the zoo does its best to represent the most important species living on Earth. The site’s main attractions include Asiatic lions, Sumatran tigers and snow leopards, as well as numerous species of monkeys, wolves, zebras, hippopotamuses, ostriches, elephants, turtles, red pandas… etc.

Considered a true Dublin institution, the zoo is clean, safe and perfectly laid out for the enjoyment of young and old alike. Don’t miss the many exhibits and information panels on the animals: you’ll learn a lot!

Admission is rather expensive, but well worth it if you’re an animal lover. Don’t hesitate to book your tickets online: prices are cheaper online than on site.
