Very popular, Inchydoney Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland! Located near the village of Clonakilty, on the Inchydoney peninsula in County Cork, this is a fantastic place to take a deep breath of sea air, enjoy the fine sand, and admire the typical “so Irish” panorama!

Considered one of the most popular beaches in the country, Inchydoney Beach attracts thousands of beachgoers every year, summer and winter, to enjoy its idyllic setting! It has it all: fine sand, turquoise water (albeit a little cold!), and of course, the surrounding greenery of an almost fluorescent green that contrasts sharply with the shades of the sky!
The beach also has a special feature: it’s divided into 2 by a rocky spur, giving you the chance to enjoy 2 magnificent white sandy beaches.
The beach is a haven for swimmers, surfers, kite flyers, picnickers and other chill-out enthusiasts. All under the supervision of friendly lifeguards and lifeguards during the high season.
The location is extremely relaxing, conducive to calm and rest. Very pleasant to walk barefoot at low tide.
It’s worth noting that the beach is a little busier in summer, however, when the fine weather allows for more open swimming, but the place is all the more family-friendly for it. However, there’s always the option of putting your towel down and staying out of the way of the neighbors. You’ll keep your living space, without the inconvenience of a crowded beach.
In short, a great time ahead, preferably in fine weather. Note that the water is generally cold, but a good pair of shorts will enable you to brave the Irish temperatures…
