No, you’re not dreaming: this beach is in Ireland, not on a tropical island! Keem Beach is located on Achill Island, and is one of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland!
Walkers in particular will appreciate the rugged terrain and breathtaking panoramic views of the beach and sea!
But the best part is on Keem beach itself: the sand is fine, the water transparent and the beach is lost in a deep bay, which comes in shades of green and rocky grey.

If you’re feeling brave, take a dip and have a picnic! A number of hiking trails are also available for exploring the riches of Achill Island!
Note the presence of numerous sheep on the bay’s shores, adding a touch of authenticity to this postcard-perfect Irish landscape!
Don’t forget your swimsuit, your camera and your hiking boots: the bay is teeming with possible activities! The site is also marvellous in bad weather: the power of the ocean lends it a grave and majestic charm!
However, we don’t recommend going to the beach in bad weather: the beach can be dangerous if there’s a big swell!
