The Obel Tower is the tallest building in Belfast and the whole of Ireland. Built on the banks of the River Lagan, it is 85 metres high and cost over £60 million to build! A must-see, it overlooks the city of Belfast on Donegall Quay.

The Obel Tower was built in early 2000. With 233 apartments, an underground parking lot and ultra-modern glass facades, the tower is mainly occupied by the law firm Allen & Overy.
Equipped with cafés, the ultra-modern site symbolizes a genuine revival of the city’s economic identity. Let’s be honest: it’s not the most beautiful building in town… (In fact, we find it rather ugly). But the building is nonetheless ultra-famous within the country!
Of course, it’s far from being overly touristy, and you won’t be able to visit the tower. Nevertheless, you’ll have no trouble spotting it as you walk along the banks and docks of the Lagan!
