The Prom is one of the most popular spots for travelers in search of seascapes and sunsets. This walk will take you along the coast, but also allows you to admire sumptuous sunsets (the perfect way to round off the day!).

And don’t forget the opportunity to eat or drink sea-facing along the promenade, thanks to the many bars, restaurants and hotels along the way.

If you’re a sporty type, there’s plenty to do on the circuit! You’ll be able to try your hand at Sand Up Paddle, rent a bike, ask for a boat trip… etc. ! To sum up: the Salthill Promenade is “THE PLACE TO BE” for travellers who aren’t afraid of crowds and ultra-touristic locations!

Also worth noting on Salthill Promenade is the Galway Atlantaquaria, a superb public aquarium (admission charge), offering access to over 170 marine and freshwater species. Seahorses, rays, sharks… you’ll discover some of the world’s most beautiful aquatic specimens, and even get the chance to feed them!
