Eating at the Brass Monkey

A cuisine that emphasizes respect for the product

As Howth is a small fishing village, it would be a shame to miss out on the Brass Monkey’s fish dishes! The restaurant’s menu reflects this philosophy, serving fresh dishes based on local produce, and boasting some of the freshest cuisine in the region!

They offer generous seafood platters (the oysters come from Sligo Bay and are delivered daily to Howth for optimum freshness. We recommend you try them with a pint of Irish stout to make them even more local), mussels, shrimps, smoked salmon, homemade fish and chips, fried squid… etc.

Among their original dishes, don’t miss their Cajun salmon burger: a true delight, offering surprising flavors for the palate!

Whatever dish you order, the result is a real treat! The portions are generous, the tastes are there, and the balances show real mastery in the kitchen.

The restaurant also offers a beef burger for those not keen on fish and iodized flavors.

The restaurant is pleasant, and a good time is had without the clock ticking. Service is fast and attentive, and prices are in line with the quality of the products cooked. Expect to pay between €10 and €20 a dish (€48 for the seafood platter, for a minimum of 2 people).
