Every rugby fan knows him: Jonathan Sexton (1985 – ) is one of Ireland’s greatest rugby players. A member of the Shamrock XV, this young Irishman shines for his exploits: it has to be said that his track record is impressive. He has won the VI Nations Tournament three times (2014, 20215 and 2018), and the European Cup three times (2009, 2011 and 2012)… His impressive track record makes him a firm favourite with Irish fans!

Let’s face it: Jonathan Sexton is a player the Irish love to count on! It has to be said that the rugby player is no stranger to dazzling displays on the pitch, which earned him the distinction of top scorer, notably during a VI Nations Tournament!
The young man began playing pro for Leinster Province from 2007 to 2010, as well as in the Celtic League. He quickly made a name for himself, notably with his participation in the 2008-2009 European Cup final.
He then joined the Irish national team, alternating between club matches for Leinster and national team matches.
In 2011, he won the European Cup with Leinster. He scored 28 of his team’s 33 points. Never before seen!
In 2013, Sexton announced his desire to leave the Irish Rugby Union. But he eventually returned to Leinster in 2015.
Meanwhile, the young man continues his career with the Irish national team. He fit in perfectly, and was even appointed team leader. An excellent marker, he is recognized for his integrity and high standards.
A true leader, in just a few years he has become an emblematic figure in Irish rugby… For many, he is the architect of the team’s victory in the Six Nations Tournament: any absence of Jonathan Sexton can be a real handicap for a match!
