If you love cheese, and are looking for something new, then Guinness Cheese is one of the Irish specialities to discover! It’s nothing less than a blend of Irish cheeses, mixed with a little Guinness beer. The result is simply brilliant!
Once again, the Irish are associating their favorite beer with some rather surprising foods! And cheese was no exception!
Guinness Chesse is fairly easy to prepare. Simply mix together cheeses such as cheddar, blue cheese and creamy cheese (like Vache Kiri or Saint Morêt in France).
Seasoned, the cheese is then mixed with Guinness, then chilled before enjoying as an aperitif!
The Irish sometimes eat it in the pub, on slices of bread or, better still, on crackers (a real passion for the Irish!). It’s a delightfully creamy treat, and the balance is perfect thanks to the beer’s bitterness!
