Recipe: The cottage pie

Ingredients

  • 750g ground beef
  • 750kg of potatoes
  • Onions
  • Carrots
  • Peas
  • Beef broth
  • Butter
  • Seasoning (salt, pepper, thyme, etc.)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Brown onions, add ground meat and let brown. Then add vegetables such as carrots and peas. Pour in a little beef stock and simmer.
  3. Cook potatoes until tender. Then mash them with a little butter, salt and milk to obtain a smooth purée.
  4. Place the meat mixture in the bottom of an ovenproof dish. Cover with mashed potatoes.
  5. Bake at 200°C until golden brown on top.
