Avoca (“Abhóca” in Gaelic) is an Irish village in County Wicklow. Built on the banks of the river of the same name, Avoca is primarily known for its tourist appeal, as well as for its unrivalled fabric and tweed craftsmanship.

Avoca is a small village on a human scale, just the way we like it. Here, the inhabitants all know each other, and share good humor and conviviality.

The village is visited every year by thousands of tourists, who come to discover the famous “Avoca Mill”, a spinning mill specializing in the creation of tweed, woollens and other renowned fabrics.

The village is also known for its important mining past: from 1720 to 1982, the valley was a major copper-mining site.
