Cusack Park is a stadium in the town of Mullingar in County Westmeath, Ireland. With a capacity of 15,000, it focuses primarily on organizing Gaelic culture matches… A must if you’ve never been to a typical Irish match!
Cusack Park is the only Gaelic stadium in the Mullingar area. Built in 1931 by the GAA (Ireland’s official sporting body), it has hosted countless rugby, hurling, camogie and Gaelic soccer matches ever since.
The atmosphere during competitions is pleasant and friendly: don’t hesitate to give it a try! It has to be said that the Irish have a real taste for sporting events, and want to preserve their traditions and cultural heritage as much as possible!
However, you can’t visit the stadium when there’s no match on. So don’t hesitate to contact the Mullingar Tourist Office to book your tickets for a match during your stay!
