Dingle Crystal is the work of Sean Daly, a master crystal cutter who trained at some of Ireland’s leading crystal workshops, including Waterford Crystal.

Since founding his workshop in 1999, Sean and his team have been producing hand-cut crystal pieces of remarkable finesse and precision.

Each piece is unique, reflecting the hours of work and passion that go into its creation.

Their quality is so exceptional that many celebrities snap them up. Dingle Crystal was commissioned to create the famous “Shamrock Bowl”, a crystal bowl decorated with shamrocks, which was presented to US President Joe Biden by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar on behalf of the Irish people at the annual St. Patrick’s Day ceremony in March 2023.

In other words, Dingle Crystal is one of Ireland’s finest craftsmen!

As a reminder, master crystal cutters are becoming increasingly rare in Ireland. Considered to be artists of great renown, their dwindling numbers tend to make production more scarce, and make each piece produced ever more sought-after!

And Sean Daly is no exception to the rule: a specialist in 6 different and distinct designs, Sean has become a big name in Irish crystal. The quality of his Celtic interlacing is nothing short of remarkable, and has propelled him as one of the greatest master crystal cutters on the island of Ireland.

Visit Dingle Crystal

Discover the secrets of Irish crystal making!

If you ever feel like visiting the boutique, you’ll have to go to Green Street in Dingle (Co. Kerry), where the shop is located.

But you can also visit the workshop itself. And for that you’ll need to go to Unit 4, Ballinaboola Industrial Estate, Dingle.

You’ll be able to admire beautiful objects, but also immerse yourself in the process of creating a crystal object.

You’ll discover shelves overflowing with sparkling treasures: finely chiselled wine glasses, intricately patterned vases, elegant candleholders and many other marvels. The motifs, often inspired by Irish nature and history, such as Celtic interlacing or shamrock motifs, are carved with a precision that leaves the visitor in awe.

Once in the studio, you’ll meet a very enthusiastic Sean Daly, who regularly offers an inspiring demonstration of his art, allowing visitors to understand the challenge and mastery that crystal work requires.

It’s a rare opportunity to see an artist at work, ask questions and learn the secrets of an ancestral craft.

Demonstrations can be given to groups of up to 35 people. But they can also be made for 2 or 3 people, depending on how busy the venue is.

The visit is fascinating, and the team welcomes you with friendliness and a sincere smile. They really want to share their passions with you!

In other words, Dingle Crystal is an experience for those who love ancient crafts and traditions that have survived to the present day!

Don’t forget to book your demonstration directly on the website: choose your slot a few days in advance, and you’ll be sure to be there!
