Keel Beach is an exceptional beach located on Achill Island, Ireland. The beach is huge, very narrow, and offers a breathtaking panorama of the sea and the island’s mountains. The landscapes come in a dizzying array of greens and blues! Enough to make you want to take a break and enjoy the beach for hours on end!

Visit Keel Beach

A magnificent beach, a surf spot, and an ideal family spot!

Surfing, swimming, windsurfing, kites, sandcastles, picnics, naps… Keel Beach has everything you need to have a great time!

In summer, the place is simply magical: you can soak up the sun, swim and recharge your batteries in a wild, summery setting! You can go barefoot in the sand, and children will love playing in the rollers (bring shorts, as the water can be a little cold, even in summer).

But the beach doesn’t have to be sulked in winter: the beach, just as magnificent, takes on different colors, with a darker, wilder soul. A magical place to discover, breathe in and admire! Take a deep breath of sea air, and be touched by this beach with its typically Irish soul!
