A lake of dark, magnificent waters!

Lough Dan can be admired from the mythical Sally Gap, a cross-country pass culminating at an altitude of over 400 metres! Whether on foot or by car, it offers magnificent views of Lough Tay, Lough Dan and Luggala Mountain, which seems to stand silent watch over the waters of the 2 lakes.

Fishing is prohibited on the lake, but it’s a wonderful place for a stroll along its shores, or a picnic!

It’s a fantastic view, and one that budding photographers will be well advised to take home with them!

Don’t hesitate to follow the route of the Sally Gap: it will show you the lake from some really cool angles!
