This reserve is the largest expanse of dunes in the whole of Ireland. It is world-renowned for its rich flora and fauna, and the beauty of its landscapes.

Trails and paths have been specially laid out to explore the surrounding area, alongside sandy beaches and forests. These stretch for miles, offering exceptional panoramic views of the coastline, Dundrum Bay and the Mourne Mountains. Children can play in the sand, while you enjoy the surrounding scenery.

The area is also home to countless wintering birds, waders and seals. It’s not unusual to come across them, and even to photograph them…
