Each summit offers breathtaking views of the region, its lakes and deserted moorland. Breathtaking landscapes reveal all the beauty of the national park!
The icing on the cake: the mountain range is set to become Ireland’s leading wilderness area! A 10-15 year project involving the transformation of forest roads into hiking trails and the installation of cabins for sustainable camping is currently being rolled out.
Once completed, the wilderness area will cover 16,000 hectares, including a large part of Ballycroy National Park!
