One of Youghal’s curiosities is a Dutch manor house known as the “Red House”. Built in 1710, the building boasts remarkable architecture, with its inner courtyard and red-brick, Baroque-style house.
The house was designed and built by Dutch architect Leuventhen for the Uniacke family, who had recently moved to Ireland.
Today, the house can be visited from both inside and outside. Here you’ll discover the finesse of Nordic architecture! A rather atypical house, but one that fits in perfectly with the Irish village of Youghal!
You can ask for a guided tour: the supports are multilingual, and the staff are very friendly!
