Looking for a cap, or some other kind of typically Irish hat? The Hanna Hats of Donegal Limited is the place for you! This factory produces some of the finest tweed textiles in the country!
Hanna Hats of Donegal Limited is no more and no less than a factory that makes tweed by hand.
Renowned the world over for its fine craftsmanship, the factory offers everything from hats to the famous tweed caps! Style-wise, the establishment tries to innovate while respecting centuries of Irish dress tradition!
And while tweed has pride of place, the factory also takes advantage of the opportunity to combine other materials, such as linen, to create patchwork hats and caps! (A technique now associated with the town of Donegal!).
These hats and caps are used in many fields, including fishing, hiking, skiing and everyday life. Extremely sturdy, they have a reputation for standing up to the elements, rain, sun and other harsh conditions. The icing on the cake: they keep you warm, protect your head, and give you a nice little Irish touch! (Perfect for integrating with the local population).
If you’d like to visit the factory, the Hanna Hats of Donegal Limited is open to the public. You’ll discover local know-how, learn all about Irish tweed, and learn the story of David Hanna, the factory’s founder, who died in 1924.
A gift store is also available at the end of your visit. It could be the perfect opportunity to take home a souvenir! It has to be said that the products are magnificent, very well cut, and of exceptional quality, recognized on an international scale! Many agree that a product bought there can last a lifetime before it gets damaged! (It has to be said that the factory uses the finest Donegal wool for its tweed!)
