The most beautiful mountains in Northern Ireland!

Located to the west of Lough Neagh in County Tyrone and bordering County Londonderry, the Sperrins are considered to be real stars. They are a popular tourist destination, attracting thousands of hikers every year to take in the sumptuous wilderness panoramas. Nature reigns supreme here, delivering her finest whatever the weather!

To discover them, we advise you to set off with the equipment required for hiking: walking shoes, rucksack, food, water and windbreaker. Always set off in a group, and let the Sperrins Visitor Centre know before you start your day’s exploration!

Once you’re there, a number of signposted trails will take you right into the heart of the mountain range. The gradients and levels of difficulty may vary according to the trail chosen, but the scenery is grandiose, offering lovely views over the valley and the highest peaks of the Sperrins. In front of you is the highest peak in the range: Sawel Mountain, 678 metres above sea level!
