The W5 Interactive Discovery Centre is a science and technology center based in Belfast. Comparable to the Cité des Sciences in Paris, the W5 brings together the best of science, and shares its knowledge with visitors… A perfect place for a family visit!
The W5 is a building featuring over 200 interactive exhibits that are, to say the least, fun and surprising! Divided into 4 distinct sections (START, GO, SEE and DO), W5 puts science in the spotlight, with live scientific demonstrations, all-day shows and 100% interactive exhibits for the whole family!
For the little ones, you can watch your children become apprentice mechanics, customizing a Mini in the W5 garage, play Olympic swimmers by diving into a pool equipped with ball cannons, or see your kids improvise as DJs by mixing like pros in a music studio.
But it’s not just for kids! In the other sections, you can listen to your heartbeat accelerate under stress, test basic physical properties, build a robot and discover the riches of biodiversity!
The visit is really fun, and well worth the detour. You can eat on site, and even take home a souvenir from the W5 shop. Another plus: the W5 boasts magnificent views of Belfast and the River Lagan!
