Titanic Quarter : Must-See Attractions

Titanic Quarter

Belfast’s historic dockside district is undergoing a major revival. It’s called the Titanic Quarter. It was here that one of the most ambitious ocean liners of its time was built: the Titanic. So it’s easy to see how important this place is to the people of Belfast!

Visit the Titanic Quarter

A neighborhood of attractions dedicated to the liner and its sinking

The Titanic Quarter is considered the birthplace of the infamous Titanic liner, which sank on its maiden voyage to the United States after colliding with an iceberg.

As a gesture of remembrance, Belfast decided to rehabilitate the site and dedicate it to the history of the Titanic. The result is the Titanic Experience, a colossal museum totally dedicated to the ship’s history. Construction, launching, life-size reconstitution of certain parts… The whole museum is a Titanic in disproportion!

Afterwards, don’t hesitate to visit Titanic’s Dock and pump-house: the dry dock where the liner was built. Here, you can learn all about the techniques and innovations of the period: a real plunge into history!

Other attractions in the Titanic Quarter include the Titanic Slipways, and a visit to the SS Nomadic, another White Star Line liner (often referred to as the Titanic’s “Little Brother”), just 2 steps from the Titanic Belfast Experience.
