If you ever feel like taking a break between exploring beautiful Achill Island, look no further. This is a must-visit address that will give you a real taste of Ireland’s ancestral traditions!
No frills here. Lynott’s Pub features a unique stone room with peat fire. The venue is not very large and can only accommodate around ten people.
And the setting is well worth the detour! It’s in this warm room, whose walls are covered with historic artifacts, that you’ll discover all the intensity of a true Irish pub. Lynott’s is all about simplicity: the bar offers few alcoholic beverages, but mainly Irish: beers, Irish coffee, whiskeys… All served with an almost disarming kindness and sense of welcome!
However, no meals are offered. And fans of game broadcasts at the Pub will have to choose another establishment. But that’s a good thing.
Because at Lynott’s, we’re back to basics… A few tables with a patina of age, a roaring peat fire, and discussions conducive to exchanges and encounters… even with tourists! Here, locals and travelers mingle, talk, laugh and discover each other. A lovely human interlude where tongues can be loosened when it comes to sipping a pint while waiting for the rain outside to stop falling.
Add to this the magic of on-site concerts, and the picture is complete! Traditional music takes on a whole new dimension! You quickly feel the urge to dance and sing. We then push the tables, and discover the true meaning of the Gaelic word “craic”.
The place is simply fantastic and well worth a visit. Don’t hesitate to stop by! It’s a real favorite!
