Gravity Bar is located in the Liberties district. This is where you’ll find the Guinness Storehouse, a kind of open-air museum dedicated to the glory of Guinness. The latter offers its visitors a free pint at the end of their visit: and the Gravity Bar is the place to be!
The place is so famous, it has welcomed celebrities such as Prince William and Kate Middleton, who have come to sample Ireland’s most famous dark beer. Suffice it to say that Gravity Bar is a must for any Irish stout lover!
Access to the bar is only available after visiting the Guinness Storehouse. But believe us, it’s worth the detour. The museum is gigantic, impressive and fascinating. Once at the top, we enter the Gravity Bar, a circular, all-glass establishment. You immediately feel as if you’re overlooking the whole of Dublin!
In the center is a bar where professional waiters seasoned in the art of serving a pint of Guinness take turns pouring drinks for visitors. And believe it or not: according to the experts, this is one of the places where Guinnness is served most perfectly! (It takes no less than 119.5 seconds to properly serve a pint of this beer).
Note that the establishment also offers paying pints: you can print your portrait on the foam of your beer. A fun and unusual experience that’s sure to amuse!
Then it’s time to sink into one of the soft armchairs and enjoy the moment – and the view! You can see the Liberties district, the brewery chimneys, Phoenix Park, the incessant activity of the city, and the Dublin mountains in the distance.
The premises have recently been renovated and enlarged. The bar is now more than double its original size. The furniture has been completely changed and redesigned. You’ll feel right at home in a totally unusual environment. A must-try: the beer is top-quality, as is the panorama!
