If you’re looking for a break from Cobh, and want to enjoy fresh fish according to the day’s catch, then The Quays is the place to go.

It offers masterful cuisine, with a taste for good local produce. And there’s something for everyone: seafood chowder, crab claws, fish and chips, fried squid… All cooked with an Irish twist, to create traditional dishes that are as good as they are authentic.

But the establishment has also thought of those who are less inclined to eat fish. They also offer an à la carte menu of pizzas, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, Thai dishes based on green curry, etc.

Prices are reasonable at lunchtime (from €8 to €25 per person) and a little more expensive in the evening, when you’ll be looking at a minimum of €25-30 per person. But above all, you pay for the location and the quality of the food. There’s nothing shocking about it: you’re on Cobh harbour, facing Cork Bay, enjoying fresh produce! The Irish art of living: what more could you ask for?

Everything is succulent and generously served. There’s sometimes a bit of a wait during the summer months, but it’s well worth it. The staff are friendly, efficient and attentive.

The decor is simple, cosy and elegant. In short, a great place to relax with family, friends or just the two of you. It’s all about having a good time, taking a deep breath of iodine, and enjoying simple, delicious dishes.
