And every year, it’s pure madness! The streets are packed with Irish people in fancy dress, crowding round the barriers to watch a superb parade, where Irish culture, heritage and history are revisited for one afternoon!
Impressive Viking longships, strolling orchestras, kilted pipe bands, themed floats, re-enactments of historical and legendary episodes… Dublin’s Grand Parade is a colorful way to discover everything that makes up Ireland’s cultural identity.
Every year, the Irish capital pulls out all the stops: with its superb costumes, huge colourful floats, folk dances and frenzied music, the Great Dublin Parade is THE parade not to be missed! Spectators are soon invited to join in, singing and cheering the parade: the atmosphere is incredible!

You’ll be able to admire some particularly creative and humorous stagings, which are sure to amaze young and old alike! It’s a grandiose, magical moment that will have you vibrating in unison with the people of Dublin: you’d be wrong to miss out!
It’s worth noting that you can attend the show simply by taking a seat on the town’s sidewalks (we advise you to get there as early as possible if you want to see something). The parade usually lasts 1h30 and then gives way to other festivities in the capital.
