Sometimes you don’t need much to be happy: a two-wheeler, a helmet and a rucksack are enough for the most adventurous to enjoy the wonders Ireland has to offer! An itinerant means of transport that allows you to swallow the tarmac while getting lost in grandiose landscapes such as Connemara or the Burren!

Generally speaking, there are 2 schools:

  • travelers bring their own motorcycles, taking a ferry.
  • others tend to rent a two-wheeler that meets their needs. A more expensive, but more flexible and comfortable operation, offered by many car rental companies.

It’s up to you! Many motorcycle enthusiasts also prefer to organize this type of trip as a group. It’s much more fun to travel with several bikes!

Of course, a motorcycle license is required to ride in Ireland and Northern Ireland. The highway code is quite similar to that in France, except that driving is on the left! All that’s left is to make sure you’re well equipped to protect yourself from bad weather, and that’s all there is to it!
