Portrush has the characteristic charm of those small Northern Irish villages with simple tastes. The old town is built on a narrow peninsula beside the sea. A fabulous sight to behold!

There are many shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as hotels and B&Bs, which are in full swing during the summer season. (The area is particularly busy in summer, so don’t be an agoraphobic!) As for gastronomy, you’ll have the pleasure of tasting fresh fish just caught off the coast of Portrush: a delicacy that’s well worth the detour!

As for activities, Portrush is ideal for sunbathing on Whiterocks Beach. Otherwise, the region boasts many great tourist attractions, such as the Giant’s Causeway, or the village of Bushmills, famous for its whiskey distillery.

Portrush doesn’t boast any major tourist attractions, but it is nevertheless very popular with surfers, who regularly enjoy its beaches and spots in a friendly atmosphere. Summer and winter alike, they tease the rollers from morning to night, in search of the perfect wave…
