Aasleagh Falls is a series of waterfalls in the heart of Connemara, on the way to Delphi Pass. It’s a wild, bucolic setting that will delight hikers looking for a place to take a break and enjoy a picnic in the countryside.
Let’s face it: access to these waterfalls is not easy by car: we recommend that you approach them on foot, and equip yourself with good hiking boots. To find them, simply follow the R335 towards Delphi: you’ll come across a succession of waterfalls that are well worth the detour!
Their show is enchanting and ideal in fine weather: a great place for a siesta, a picnic, or just a stroll! Don’t hesitate to follow the watercourse: you’ll be able to admire the different waterfalls. Some are more impressive than others, and are sometimes the subject of professionally supervised activities such as costeering or canyoning.
Be careful, though: the area can quickly become dangerous. So don’t embark on these activities without being supervised by a sports guide specializing in this type of sport.
