Coumeenoole Beach is a beach on the Dingle Peninsula (Co. Kerry) in Ireland. If you like authentic, unspoilt beaches with a definite charm, then you’ve come to the right place! The beach has it all: fine sand, turquoise water and a rugged coastline alternating between rock and greenery. This magnificent site is located on the Slea Head Drive, a tourist route that circumnavigates the Dingle peninsula. One thing’s for sure: you’ll want to put your towel down!

Whether you’re a surfer, a walker or just a swimmer, Coumeenoole beach is a little gem that will delight all lovers of wild landscapes…
If you follow the Slea Head Drive road, you can park your car in a specially-designed parking lot, and take a seat on the beach’s vast expanse of sand…
You’ll be immersed in an exceptional setting, with cliffs, green expanses and mountains plunging into the Atlantic… A landscape worthy of a postcard, with the advantage of changing according to the light and climate.
Admittedly, the water is often cold, but the bravest of you won’t hesitate to jump in! (A wetsuit may come in handy!). But beware of the rollers, which can sometimes be quite violent! (Surfers will be delighted!).
The area is ideal for a swim, a stroll or a picnic. One of Ireland’s most beautiful beaches: best in spring or summer, but beware: the beach can sometimes be a victim of its own success on hot days!
