Located in Dublin, a stone’s throw from Trinity College, the bookshop was founded in 1768: it has since become a veritable institution, and has never ceased trading.
There are some incredible addresses in Dublin, and the Hodges Figgis is one of them! This bookshop, recognizable by its retro green storefront, is undoubtedly the haunt of intellectuals, students and young people, but also of all lovers of novels, stories and guides of all kinds!
This 4-storey bookshop is an ode to the passion of reading! Whatever you’re looking for, you’re bound to find what you’re looking for, between the expert advice of the sales staff and the shelves full of promises lining the walls.
The bookshop is packed with academic books, partly due to its location opposite Trinity College, but the Irish section also covers photography, travel, nature, folklore, cookery and literature.
The store also has a large section dedicated to novels and bestsellers. Every year, the establishment welcomes numerous novelists to sign their works and answer questions from their fans.
