The Mamore Gap is a road that winds between the Urris Hills, small mountains on the Inishowen Peninsula that overlook the surrounding countryside. It lies about 5km south of Dunaff on the Wild Atlantic Way.
You’ll have the option of parking in a specially-designed parking lot, so you can take your time and enjoy the view… And what a view! On a clear day, the panorama stretches all the way to the Atlantic Ocean, revealing the ultra-cut relief of the coastline. All in breathtaking colors ranging from blue to bright green: the colors of Ireland!
For those interested, there’s a small holy well close to the parking lot, as well as a place of worship with a statue of the Virgin Mary.
There’s also the Mamore Waterfall, not far from the road: it’s a pretty cool sight!
