Sheep’s Head Lighthouse is located on the peninsula of the same name in County Cork. Discreet, it silently watches over Bantry Bay and Dunmanus Bay, guiding approaching boats to nearby ports. Overlooking the ocean, it offers an unobstructed view of the sea: a great way to take in the sights!
The Sheep’s Head Lighthouse is a relatively new lighthouse located high on the Sheap’s Head peninsula. Although closed to visitors, you can get up close and personal with the Sheep’s Head Way, a brand-new hiking trail that winds its way around the peninsula.
Converted into an automatic lighthouse, it is still in working order today, guiding approaching boats at night. Easily recognizable with its white walls and green door, it has a rather picturesque charm, and is one of the peninsula’s cool attractions!
