The Black Valley is most often recommended for walkers wishing to get deep into the heart of Irish nature… If you take the Kerry Way, you’ll discover an exceptional view of the valley, with its succession of lakes, craggy rocks and green moors…

The changing light of the day allows you to admire ever-changing landscapes: the sun reflects magnificently on the surface of the lakes in fine weather, while they take on darker, deeper colors in rainy weather.

Don’t hesitate to follow the signposted path, which takes you around corners where you can gain altitude and enjoy superb panoramic views. As far as the gradient is concerned, it can be a bit steep at times, but a hardy walker will be able to cope just fine!
