The Cliffs of Horn Head are located on the peninsula of the same name in County Donegal, Ireland. Magnificent and wild, they rise to over 180 metres and face the Atlantic Ocean. They’re easily admired from the outskirts of Horn Head Peninsula. There are many promontories where you can overlook the cliffs and take some great shots. A little extra: you can even organize a little picnic on the grass and enjoy a ham and Irish cheddar sandwich to make the most of the view! (And that’s the Irish way of life: there’s no such thing as a little pleasure!)
It should be noted that these rather vertiginous cliffs are protected by the State. This is due to the presence of a wide variety of seabirds: puffins, gulls, penguins and the European crow. They all nest in the cracks in the rock, where they lay their eggs, hunt and fish…

Access to the Horn Head Cliffs is totally free. However, we recommend that you take care: the spot is left to its own devices. No railings or guardrails to protect you from a possible fall. Keep your children close to you and avoid getting too close to the edge.
Moreover, the area is windswept: it can get cold, so we advise you to dress warmly, with a good sweater and windbreaker.
