The Comeragh Mountains and Coumshingaun Lough - Eoghan Hennessy - cc

Comeragh Mountains take the form of 12 imposing mountains. Its highest peak, “Fauscoum”, rises to 792 metres and is one of the most popular spots for walkers and mountaineers.

The mountain backdrop is exceptional. Best explored in fine weather: the colors are ever-changing and magnificent, and you’ll feel so small in this wild and majestic environment!

We recommend that you set off in a well-equipped, well-covered group, with a good level of fitness to explore the mountains: some access points are clearly reserved for seasoned sportsmen and women!

Not to be missed is its famous lake, Coumshingaun Lough, which is encircled by the Comeragh Mountains. You can admire the lake from the top of the mountain, and enjoy an unforgettable view of its mysterious waters! Caution: don’t be afraid of heights!

Also, don’t miss Mahon Falls, a pretty waterfall to be discovered in a sumptuous landscape!
