The Ring of Gullion is a real geological curiosity! It’s a group of volcanic hills that have eroded over time. Together, they form a veritable “circle” several kilometers in diameter. A little extra: the Slieve Guillon sits right in the middle of the ring!

A great curiosity for hikers!

The Gullion Oval can be visited via the Slieve Gullion Scenic Drive. This route can be taken by car, and starts from Dromintee.

From the top of Slieve Gullion, you can enjoy a fantastic panorama of these circular hills and the surrounding lakes.

Don’t forget your camera: it’s a magnificent location overlooking the whole of County Antrim! Great for lovers of wild landscapes and hiking: the area is just right for you!
