Irish Meatloaf recipe

Meatloaf with an American twist

In Ireland, Meatloaf has the advantage of being an economical and rather convivial dish. It comes in the form of meatloaf, made from a mixture of ground beef, milk, egg and breadcrumbs.
As for the rest, it’s all a question of creativity: there are as many types of meatloaf as there are Irish people who like to eat it! Onions, vegetables, cheese, spices, mushrooms… Anything goes!

Note, however, that meatloaf is most often cooked with a topping of ketchup or barbecue sauce: it caramelizes the meat in the oven, adding that sweet-savory touch that Anglo-Saxons love so much.

Generally speaking, meatloaf is easy to shape by hand. This leaves plenty of scope for making a terrifying Halloween dish! Pumpkin head, bat… It’s up to you and your family to create the scariest dish of the year! Children generally enjoy taking part, and it’s a great time! The Irish are great fans of this tradition!
