Killarney Brewing & Distilling is one of the latest establishments to shake up the world of brewing and distilling in Ireland. While the establishment had been brewing only beers since 2015, the venue decided to develop a high-end spirits offering.

The establishment recently launched its inaugural whisky: a top-of-the-range blend of 8-year-old Irish whisky, aged in stout casks. An originality that promises a beverage full of surprises!

Only 1092 bottles were produced for this unique offering, and celebrates the year of the release of the Annals of Innisfallen, a medieval manuscript that is one of Ireland’s historical treasures. This collector’s edition pays tribute to the legendary monks of Innisfallen Island, on Killarney’s Lough Leane.

If you’re ever curious, don’t hesitate to take a tour of the facility. Both the microbrewery and the distillery are open to the public and will be delighted to show you around their facilities.

A guided tour is available, and will teach you a great deal about how beer and whiskey are made. All in a great atmosphere, with humour and conviviality! The visit usually concludes with a small tasting session, and a few tips on how to enjoy their beverages. Fascinating!
