Medieval banquets at Château de Dunguaire are usually held in the evening, in a festive, good-natured atmosphere. You’ll be welcomed by the owner with a glass of mead and a tour of the château. After a brief history of the site, and a musical introduction by the château’s singers, you can climb the stairs to enter the banqueting hall.
Once seated, you’ll experience a true medieval banquet: candlelit oak tables, a crackling open fire, and a tasty 4-course dinner. The meal is hearty and very fine, served with local Irish produce. Songs, dances and readings by the great Irish writers help you get into the spirit of the castle.
We’ve got everything you need for an unforgettable evening, worthy of the great banquets of the era! This is one of our favorite activities!
Count €40 per person to attend the banquet (meal and entertainment included).
