A center for admiring the country’s most beautiful bird species!

The Birds of Prey Centre is located in Ballyvaughan, on the same site as Aillwee Cave in the Burren. The center offers a wide range of activities, from cave tours to falconry shows.

But above all, the site is a center for the protection of the most exceptional birds! You’ll also be able to admire some beautiful species, from hawks and owls to eagles.

Learn about their training methods, biology and feeding requirements. You’ll also learn more about the art of falconry, and how it has been practiced since the Irish Middle Ages. A fun and exciting exhibition that should enlighten you on the art of poultry training!

Last but not least, don’t miss their grandiose shows, where trainers fly the most impressive birds of prey! Magical flights, where the birds respond to the fingertips of their falconers in a twirling ballet!

Don’t hesitate to call the center before you go: the establishment organizes several shows a day, but times may vary…

The center also offers a short hike for enthusiasts, where you can stroll across the Burren through enchanting woods. Accompanied by a falconer guide and an eagle, you’ll enjoy a unique experience in exceptional landscapes!
