Located in the village of Lisdoonvarna is the Burren Brewery, a County Clare Irish brewery specializing in renowned craft beer. This Irish micro-brewery has the advantage of being located in the heart of the Burren, a magnificent region of Ireland. Opened in 2011, the microbrewery has since earned its spurs. She brews subtle, delicate beers with typically Irish aromas!
It all began in 2011, when Peter Cutrin, an Irishman from Lisdoonvarna, decided to embark on a project: brewing his own beer.
Sharing a love of things well done, he decided to set up under the roof of the Roadside Tavern, an existing Irish pub in town, where he serves and brews his own beers in a cosy, authentic atmosphere! (Traditional Irish music is regularly played here).
Since then, the microbrewery has enjoyed unrivalled success, recognized by the Lonely Planet guide in 2017 as one of Ireland’s best microbreweries (ranking 3rd)!
The Burren brewery has a special feature: its beers are only available on the premises, and on draught. So don’t count on a bottle to take home. In Lisdoonvarna, you can enjoy the local beer at the Roadside Tavern… and nowhere else!
But the discovery is well worth the effort.
Peter Curtin offers 3 beers:
All 3 are interesting and have their own identity. They’ll amaze you with their character and subtlety!
