Torr Head Scenic Road is a bit of a postcard destination. It offers fabulous scenery, revealing the beauty of Northern Ireland’s soul.
This tour is best explored by car: you’ll have to wind your way along narrow, winding roads, starting in Ballycastle and heading towards Cushendun. They take you along the coast, where you can admire cliffs, bays, dream beaches, reefs and sea views.
You’ll discover Fair Head, Murlough Bay and Torr Head, 3 exceptional places that will blow your mind.
Don’t hesitate to make stops: the tour should be done at your own pace and according to your desires. In fact, there are a number of areas along the route where you can stop, take a few photos and set off again. (Please note that some sections of the road may not allow 2 cars to pass each other: you’ll need to arrange an order of passage).
Don’t miss the stretch of road between Torr Head and Cushendun: the road has been built right up to the edge of the cliff, and you’ll have an incredible, vertiginous view of the sea below!
