Mitchell’s Café is a must after a visit to Kylemore Castle and Abbey. It has to be said that the Park has few eating establishments. A break in the heart of nature in a setting like this is well worth the detour!
This makes the establishment ideal for a lunch break or snack.
It’s a sort of giant buffet where you can enjoy salads, quiches, sandwiches and pies, as well as hot dishes such as the traditional “Irish stew”. We’d also recommend their Connemara smoked salmon, or their roast pork loin with vegetables and potatoes, as well as their chicken stuffed with smoked bacon.
The establishment has even thought of vegetarians: wraps, salad bar, pasta, homemade bread… There’s plenty to enjoy!
Last but not least, Mitchell’s Café also offers gourmet pastries, such as their tasty scones (with cream and jam), homemade fudges (lemon meringue, chocolate-mint, chocolate-peanut butter or chocolate-orange), almond cakes… etc.
The perfect way to enjoy a cup of Irish tea!
Mitchell’s Café is all about simplicity and authentic tastes. It’s a pleasure to sit down, choose your dishes and treat yourself to a moment of Irish-style indulgence.
As for prices, you can get away with €15-20 per person for lunch. A little less for a snack. Reasonable prices compared to the establishment’s exceptional location… and the quality of the products served!
