Veldon’s Seafarer is one of the most authentic restaurants on the coast, serving typical Irish dishes cooked with love.
The establishment is divided into 2 parts: the bar (with its 100% pub atmosphere) and the restaurant.
The drinks menu is rich and varied. As for their signature dishes, choose from traditional Irish stew, crab claws and artisan Irish bread, or fish and chips. Not to mention the seafood on offer, as and when it arrives: salmon, mussels, oysters, scampi… a feast of ultra-fresh dishes, fresh off the boat!
The quality of the dishes has earned the establishment numerous awards (notably from Tripadvisor). A well-deserved accolade when you consider that everything is homemade!
Prices range from €20 to €25 for the main course alone. To this you’ll need to add a drink, starter and/or dessert as required.
The service is pleasant: little waiting (even if the restaurant can be crowded in summer), and orders taken with a smile. The atmosphere is cosy, exotic, and totally in keeping with the Connemara region. All in all, a real change of scenery, and a real treat!
