At the same time, you need to book your trip to your destination quickly. There are two ways of doing this: by plane or by ferry. Flying is faster, and allows you to travel with a minimum of luggage, while the ferry is particularly interesting if you’re travelling with several people, and if you want to take your car with you. Economical and more environmentally-friendly, the ferry offers real travel comfort. Above all, beware of the dates, and choose times that will avoid the crowds. Click here to book:
St. Patrick’s Day has the advantage of stretching over several days. Although the official day of festivities is March 17, each town and village generally offers up to 7 days of festivities! This is the perfect way to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day, but also to take some “breathing space” to visit the surrounding area! For example: one day before the Dublin parade, don’t hesitate to visit the Guinness Museum (known as the Guinness Storehouse), take a tour of a local distillery like the Jameson Distillery, or take a stroll through the trendy Temple Bar district! If you’re in Galway, take the car for a day’s road-trip through Connemara: we’d love to hear all about it! As you can see, Ireland is full of possibilities, especially during St. Patrick’s Day! Alternate between festivities and experiences: you’re sure to come away delighted!
