Dingle Bay is a bay in County Kerry, linking the Dingle Peninsula with the Iveragh Peninsula. Stretching some 40km from north to south-west on the Atlantic Ocean, it boasts some of the most beautiful scenery on the Irish west coast. Postcard-worthy landscapes!
Dingle Bay is dotted with numerous beaches and small harbour villages, where tourism and the sea are the mainstays of life.
Among the most beautiful spots are Inch Beach and Inch Strand (fantastic beaches for kite flying and surfing), as well as the villages of Ventry, Ballymeentrant, Beenbane, Kinard, Annascaul and Glenbeigh.
Don’t hesitate to go for a walk or a bike ride: the beaches are heavenly and stretch across a large part of the bay. Many kayakers and surfers enjoy its beaches. You’ll even come across a few paragliders!
Among the bay’s sights are the cliffs of the Dingle Peninsula and the Iveragh Peninsula. The bay is also home to a wild dolphin named Funghi. Fishermen and tourist boats often come across it when out at sea! Very playful, he loves to play in the wake of boats!
