During the Christmas season, the whole of Killarney is abuzz with activity, with its Christmas market! Known as the “Killarney Christmas Market”, it’s an open-air market with a host of stalls selling baked goods, toys, Christmas decorations, handicrafts and hot drinks…
Killarney’s Christmas market is the biggest in County Kerry. Among the many stalls on offer are Irish produce, gourmet foods and everyday objects made by local artisans, as well as succulent cinnamon-based pastries! You can even enjoy them with a cup of mulled wine or cider!
In addition, every year Santa Claus makes a special visit to meet the children. He meets them in “Santa’s village”, set up especially for him in Killarney. On the program: plush houses, gift-making with elves, and a reindeer stable. A festive atmosphere, to the delight of young and old alike!
Finally, the market also offers horse-drawn carriage rides: a gentle, romantic way to discover Killarney’s unmissable charm, while staying warm and snuggled up under a blanket… What better way to get into the Christmas spirit?
