The Dingle Peninsula first offers its residents and visitors a territory that extends over more than 160 km. The Peninsula consists of a succession of bays, beaches, cliffs, and plains that sometimes transform into a more abrupt, wilder relief, reaching an impressive altitude.

Many vertiginous cliffs will offer you superb views of the ocean!

A little further inland, you will discover a wild nature bathed in lush greenery, where cottages and other picturesque houses live peacefully amid the Slieve Mish Mountains and Stradbally Mountain.

Note that some of their Irish lakes are ideal spots for fishing!

A bastion of Irish culture, the Dingle Peninsula also has the characteristic of belonging to the Gaeltacht, a region where the preservation of Irish linguistic and cultural heritage is taken very seriously. So don’t be surprised if you hear Irish spoken there: the Irish Gaelic language still has its place in Dingle and has persisted for several centuries!

Rest assured: while Gaelic is king here, the English language is not neglected, and you will manage by stumbling a few words in Shakespeare’s tongue: the locals will easily understand and make the effort to speak!
